The story behind the art

Created between 1878 and 1910 by Dutch artist Theo van Hoytema, Peacock with Hens reflects his deep fascination with nature and decorative storytelling. Van Hoytema was known for his refined illustrations of animals, often blending observation with a strong sense of pattern and composition.
